Steven N. Long was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and the Campbell University School of Law. He was admitted to the bar in 2003. He is a member of the Craven County Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. Prior to law school, Steven served as a police officer with the Winston-Salem Police Department and as a magistrate judge with the State of North Carolina. Prior to joining the firm, Steven worked in private practice in civil and criminal litigation, and served as an Assistant District Attorney for Craven, Carteret and Pamlico counties. His practice areas include criminal, traffic, domestic and civil litigation. He resides in New Bern with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he enjoys boating with his family, coaching baseball and training and competing in triathlon events.
